Glyde opened brightly and after an error in the Dreadnots defence a goal from Trevor O'Brien followed by a Gerrard Sheridan point the home  side took  an early lead, but Dreadnots settled after that and with the help of 3pt from Peter Kirwan,Pat Lynch and James Califf and it was 1-1 to 0-3 on 10min.The next score came on 20min a free from O'Brien then Califf replied with a free of his own and Chris Mulroy levelled it with a single on 27min,Califf and O'Brien again traded frees and a superb Pat Lynch point meant Dreadnots led 0-7 to 1-3 at the break
At the start of the second half Dreadnots opened up a 6pt lead after 2 frees from the boot of Ciaran Cunningham and a goal from Chris Mulroy, they were then reduced to 14 men after referee Paul Kneel, who issued 8 yellow cards and 1 red, sent off David O'Brien with 18min remaining.Gerrard Sheridan made no mistake on 23min with a penalty after Dean Brennan was adjudged to be fouled 2-3 to 1-9.The last 7min were tight but the Dreadnots showed great resolve and with points from county man Liam Shevlin and another from Califf the ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-5 to 1-11.
