O'Connell’s 1-6, St. Patricks 2-13. As the score line suggests it was all too easy for the men from Lordship in the grove on Sunday evening. The home side got the first point of the game from Mark Stanfield but the Pats got the next five in a row two from Paddy Keenan one a free and the same for Daniel O’Connor and the other from Eoin O’Connor. Andrew Sharkey pointed for the home side with a free but the away side hit back with three more points, another free from Keenan, one more for Eoin O’Connor and one for Paudie Mallon. Dean Stanfield pointed for O’Connell’s and the pats put two more points on the board to leave the half time score 0-3 to 0-10 in favour of the Pats. The home side got the first two points of the second half from Robert Quigley and John Flanagan. The pats replied with a great goal and two points, the goal from corner back Jamie O’Hare and the points Aidan McCann and O’Connor. O’Connell’s got their own goal from Jason Carroll but the Lordship men hit the net again from sub J. Ryan. They shared the last points of the game Sharkey for the home side and Eoin O’Connor for the pats. Both teams will play in the championship next weekend but the Pats will be a lot happier after this line out.
