Played at ballygason,  the home side after what can only be described as a woeful first half performance, in which they scored only one point from half-forward Fergal Leonard in 30 minutes, it was only a penalty converted by Bernard Osborne in the 32nd min that took the bad look on the scoreboard, thankfully the second half was a major improvement, with the barrs scorching 2-11 to the visitors 0-3

St Finbarrs, Allan Matthews; Colin McGrane, Trevor Dolan, Brian Sharkey: Shane Fanning (0-2) Kieran Murphy (0-1) Darren Mulroy; Nicholas Butterly, John Doyle; Stuart Osborne, Oisen McGee, Fergal Leonard (1-2) Colm McCullough, William Woods (1-4) Damien Byrne (0-1)
Subs; Bernard Osborne (1-2) for C McCullough, Mairtin Murphy for S Osborne, David Woods for N Butterly, Gerry Leonard for C McGrane, Andy McCann for D Woods
