GAA Grounds, Drogheda confirmed as SFC Final venue PDF Print E-mail

The Louth GAA Competitions Control Committee (CCC) has confirmed that the Avonmore Senior Football Championship Final between Newtown Blues and St Patricks will take place on Sunday, October 2nd in the GAA Grounds, Drogheda. The encounter will be officiated by Malachy Craven (Geraldines). Time: TBC

The final between the two heavyweights will be preceded by the Minor Football Championship Final, as St Brides eagerly await the outcome of the semi-final encounter between Clan na Gael and Geraldines. This semi-final will be played on Friday night.

Also confirmed is the venue for the Avonmore Intermediate Football Championship Final between O'Raghallaighs and Clan na Gael. On Sunday, October 9th, Páirc Seamus Mhic Eochaidh in Haggardstown will host the encounter in what is expected to be a tight tussle for the Seamus Flood Cup. The man in the middle will be Glen Emmets' Stephen Johnson.

The final is preceded by the U16 Football Championship final. The identity of the finalists will emerge over the coming two weeks with quarter finals and semi-finals on the horizon.
