The news comes on foot of last week’s championship launch held in Croke Park.

Speaking about the announcement President of the Camogie Association Joan O’Flynn:

“We are delighted that RTÉ Sport has come on board as the official partner for the All Ireland Camogie Championships. This development represents an extremely positive step for the Association.

RTÉ’s involvement is a powerful endorsement of our game and will bring camogie to a wider audience.

This year, in addition to weekly championship coverage on RTÉ’s The Sunday Game, we will also have live radio updates on RTÉ Radio 1’s Saturday Sport while our senior semi-finals will be broadcast live online on RTÉ.ie. Our triple header All Ireland finals at Croke Park –will be broadcast by RTÉ Sport on September 11th.

We are looking forward to working with RTÉ Sport during the course of the season and look forward to another exciting championship.”


Speaking about the partnership, Group Head of Sport RTÉ, Ryle Nugent:

“RTÉ is pleased to partner this year’s All Ireland Camogie Championship. This partnership provides an opportunity for RTÉ Sport to reinforce our brand with camogie fans while strengthening our association with our national game.”

This year’s All Ireland Camogie Championships in association with RTÉ Sport commence on Saturday June 11th with the clash of All Ireland champions Wexford and last year’s beaten finalists, Galway, taking centre stage at Bellefield, Enniscorthy. Throw in 3.00pm.
