The County Convention (A.G.M) of the Louth Ladies Co.Board will take place @ 8oc sharp on Monday January 23rd 2012 in a venue to be announced. All clubs intending to submit changes in the form of bye-laws and motions are asked to return all nominations before January 9th. Clubs are encouraged to discusss this issue as it a chance for each club to have a voice on issues they feel strongly about. If a proposal is sent in by a club then that club must select somebody to speak on the topic at the A.G.M. Clubs are asked to propose and encourage members to contest for positions on the county board executive as competition is a healthy sign. Proposals for positions on county board and motions should also be sent in by Jan 9th. Nomination forms should already be with the clubs Also clubs are being reminded only to nominate someone you have asked to take the position. There will be a number of changes at the top table as Adult fixture Chairman Barney ONeill and Juvenille fixture Secretary Irene Brennan are both believed to be stepping down having completed 3 year terms. Central Council Delegate Pat Gribben is expected to continue in this role but the Roche man has indicated he is to relinquish his role as Leinster Council Rep. Dermot Woods has indicated that he too is not seeking re-election to the position of P.R.O.having held this post since 2008. The Nh.Malachi man is the Boards longest serving official. First elected in November 1995 as Vice-Chairman, he assumed the role as Chairman 12 months later, a position he held until 2003. He did a second term in the chair from 2007 to 2011as well as representing Louth at both Central and Leinster Council between 1996 and 2002. [Report: Dermot Woods] |
