A place in the All-Ireland final awaits Stabannon if they can overcome Cork champions Bride Rovers on Sunday.

The east- Cork side who hail from near Fermoy took their first ever county title in style as they easily beat Nh.Aban in the final. In the Munster series they had just a point to spare when beating Moyle Rovers (Tipp) in the opening round, while in the semi-final they got the better of Shannon Gaels on this occasasion by a two point margin. In the final, they trailed at the interval to Limericks St. Ailbes by 1-05 to 0-02 but a strong second half display saw them take the southern crown by 0-11 to 1-06. Indeed the winning margin would have been greater had county star Grace Kearneys late effort not rebounded to safety off the crossbar. A feature of their outings has been their strong second half performances, reflecting a high level of fitness in what is a relatively young team. They are backboned by  Cork stars Grace Kearney and Eleanor Ahern. Kearney was a half forward on the Rebel county as they won their sixth All-Ireland title in seven years a number of weeks back, while Kearney was on the Cork side which took the Ashling McGinn cup earlier this year. They have had an excellent under age structure  in place over the last number of years and and are now seeing the benefits of that good work.

However Stabannon wont fear anyone following their brilliant form in both Louth and Leinster this season. Having landed a three in a row of county titles, the Louth champions showed great character to bounce back from an extra-time defeat in the 2010 Leinster club championship final to take the provincial title by beating Oldcastle in a well contested final in Clane and will need to show similar levels of skill and determination once again if they are to come out on top on Sunday .Stabannon under Ciaran Marks are a well drilled outfit with the emphaiss placed very much on a strong team ethic. They possess in their ranks some outstanding individials such as Grace,Tara and AnnMarie Lynch. Goalie Nicola Barry and emerging stars such as Grace Rogers and Broonagh McGrane, while in ace attacker Jenny McGuinness they have one of the best forwards in this competition as evidenced by her tally of 2-16 in her sides triumphant Leinster campaign. With home advantage, Stabannon if they can produce the form that saw them become the first Louth club since Cooley in 1999 to take  provincial honours must have an outstanding chance to advance to the All-Ireland decider, to meet the winners of the other semi-final between Lisnaskea (Fermanagh) and Parnells (U.K) which takes place this Saturday in Lisnaskea with a 1oc throw-in.

The Final will take place on Nov .20th
