Louth Ladies County Board are holding their third  annual presentation night on Friday November 18th in the Cooley Kickhams G.A.A. Complex.With a meal on the night, followed by music from the Stormers, it promises to be an event to remember as a number of awards are set to be handed out on the night.

This years Louth U/18 panel will receive recognnition for their outstanding All-Ireland  Minor Championship success when they  beat Antrim in the final in Armagh by 3-08 to 1-13, the winning score coming deep in added on time from the fist of Roche star Shauna Finn.

There will also be special recognition for 45of the best players in this seasons domestic competitions with a team of the year as chosen by the various club managers, picked for in each of the three grades.The All-Star list has been up-dated and will now include a number of panelists on the three divisional teams. Initially there were 3 teams of 15 players selected, however Ladies P.R.O. Dermot Woods revealed that the slight alteration was made to bring the  Louth  awards in to line with other G.A.A. units who also include replacemets.  Not surprisingly Stabannon who had another fine year taking both the Div 1 League Title and the Senior Championship lead the way with five players selected on the Div 1 team and a further two selected on the Div 2 line-up. Cooley are next with three representatives, while Championship and League runners-up Roche, St.Marys and St.Mochtas have two with Sandra Lynch, (Geraldines)  completing the side.

In Div 2, Intermeadiate Champions Newtown Blues take the lions share with six, while the side they beat in the final Nh.Martin have three. League winners Dowdallshill have to be content with just one, but will be pleased to have a further two on the panel, while Dreadnotts in their first season are represented by couny keeper Kelly Cunningham.

In the third tier line out Na Pairsaigh have four of their players selected including Irish soccer star Grace Murray, with League champions St.Brides and Championship winners Nh.Finbarra both having three of their members included.

Meanwhile, Pat Carr has congratulated Stabannon on reaching Sundays All-Ireland Intermeadiate Club final. The Louth Chairman has urged as many people as people as possible to get along to Monaghan to support them in their efforts to bring All-Ireland honours to the county.  They have reached this final stage on the back of some superb displays and have been fantastic ambassadors for the sport of Ladies Football in Louth. Regardless of the result on Sunday I have no doubt that you have made your families, your community and your club extremley proud by your achievements on the football field both locally and nationally. Victory in Sundays final would top off whats been a wonderful year for all associated with your fine club, concluded the Geraldines clubman
